" COMMENTARII DE HISTORIA " - an electronic periodic magazine of historical department of Voronezh State university. All rights "Copyright" are reserved by Voronezh university. This edition is a part of the scientific work of historical faculty in two directions:

- the support of the scientific publications This project is connected with the main scientific schools of the department. The first step of this program was the foundation in 1996 of the almanac "Istoricheskie zapiski. Nauchnye trudy istoricheskogo fakulteta VGU".;

- the using of computer technologies in research and educational process.

The journal has no paper version and is registered at the electronic editions' dipositarium STC "Informregistr". Its number of state account is 0320000110. All materials after the year's expiration are put on CD-ROM and are conferred free-of-charge to Russian State Library, to library of INION and to Voronezh State University library.

The main tasks of the magazine:

- to edit operatively new historical investigations;
- to discuss vexed historical questions;
- to organize round tables;
- to review the most interesting domestic and foreign researches;
- to collect in magazine the information about historical resources from INTERNET;
- electronic publication of sources, including archival materials;
- to overcome the informational hunger, which is connected with the conditions of Russian library business;
- availability for a wide range of the readers.

The magazine takes the articles, publication of sources, brief responses, debatable remarks, review in files of a format ASCII or WinWord. Their volume should not exceed 40 000 letters, and no more than 5 drawings or photos in a format jpg. The materials, given for the publication, should be accompanied by the brief summary, volume up to 500 letters in Russian (will be translated by editors) or English languages, which are published separately in the English version of a magazine.

The selection of materials is carried out according to traditions of the Russian scientific magazines: the unique criterion of it is their scientific level. The editors may reject an article without explaining the reason of it. The publication of the article in the magazine does not exclude its subsequent publication in other paper editions. But the reference to the "Commentarii de Historicae " is necessary.
